Food Sovereignty Sanctuary believes all people have the Creator Given Right to healthy, high quality food, produced in an ecologically sound manner without the use of harmful chemicals, pesticides, GMOs and mNRA. The Food Sovereignty Sanctuary works to end hunger through educating and providing families with the resources and education to raise and grow their own organic food. Food Sovereignty Sanctuary advocates and defends the Creator Given Right of all people to raise, grow & sell organic food.

In partnership with Puna Rising, "Reclaiming Food Sovereignty in Hawai'i! Before colonial contact, Hawai'i- through regenerative land practices - fed a population far greater than today's, without industrial inputs or mechanization.
Now, mora than 90% of our food is imported, and with chemical inputs.
Hawai'i was food sovereign.
Hawai'i can be food sovereign again!
And while we are islands, none of us is an island unto ourselves.
Many hands make light work - and together we can grow food needed to nourish, protect and sustain our people."

At Food Sovereignty Sanctuary we believe that every family with a yard should experience the fun and food security that comes with raising hens that produce eggs!
Food Sovereignty Sanctuary provides affordable high quality breeds of egg laying chicks and pullets (young hens) to families on the Big Island of Hawaii.
In addition to proving scholarships to support the start up costs of raising a backyard flock, we provide online and in-person educational workshops around the Big Island for children and families to learn how to care for their backyard flock.
